Role

Zendesk is looking for a strong people manager to become the EMEA SMB Manager, Revenue Operations. This leader is responsible for influencing cross-functional stakeholders and guiding the local team of Associates and Analysts in their daily interactions with sales reps through the Quote to Cash process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead local team of Associates and Analysts in the deal flow process from Quote to Close.
  • Help build out EMEA SMB Revenue Operations team and processes
  • Balance workload for team members (i.e. triaging tickets, assigning projects)
  • Mentor and train Revenue Ops Associates and Analysts in the Quote to Close process
  • Work with Sales Enablement team to capture and address training gaps
  • Coach team on cross-functional engagement and communication.
  • Handle 1st level escalations for team.
  • Work on deals when volume is high (especially at end of month/quarter)
  • Take lead on complex deals and delegate simpler tasks to Associates and Analysts
  • Understand team priorities/goals and guide team members to achieve them
  • Ensure that all deals align with corporate strategies and will pass Finance audits.
  • Make recommendations on Service Order best practices and help prepare large and/or strategic deals for management review.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between Sales, Legal, and Commissions.
  • Review and ensure SOX compliance in billing & provisioning processes
  • Lead ad-hoc projects & analysis and guide Associates and Analysts in these efforts (e.g. system testing for new SKU implementations, metrics analysis, etc.).

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience managing a team of 3 or more individual members
  • 5+ years experience in guiding sales reps in bringing revenue-generating deals to signature.
  • Experience working closely with sales reps and understanding quota related pressures
  • Willing to roll up sleeves and help with day-to-day
  • Detail-oriented but also able to understand bigger picture
  • Experience project managing pre-sales deals
  • Experience presenting recommendations to Sales and Finance leadership
  • Ability to stay organized and easily manage multiple deals and tasks simultaneously for multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with contract/Service Order management and analysis.
  • Operational experience with both transactional as well as medium, strategic deals
  • Ability to think fast and flexibly adapt to the situation.
  • Able to work in unstructured environments but can adapt to processes quickly.
  • Works well cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Legal.
  • Excellent communication skills & experience in building relationships with and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce and Zuora
  • Advanced experience with a CPQ.
  • Experience working with G-Suite Sheets, Docs, and Slides a plus.
  • Experience with ZQuotes (Zuora) and Conga also a plus.
